In the final sequence Dom injures himself and Brian lets him get away instead of arresting him for his crimes because he has developed a friendship with him throughout the course of the movie. Anyone who knows a bit about cars and critically acclaimed movies will recognise The Italian Job. The British film has collected a huge following and modern day remakes of the picture, released in cinemas in 1969, have since been created starring beauties like Charlize Theron and Mark Wahlberg. Award-winning actor Michael Cain plays the main role. His character Charlie, plays a criminal who gathers a team of people to steal a gold shipment from city in Italy with assistance from a trio of Mini Coopers, a bus and two Jaguars. Many car chases follow through the city streets, highways, rooftops, rivers and sewers. Charlie and his team do get the gold in the end but their bus loses its grip on the road and is left teetering over the edge of a cliff - the end credits begin to roll as the thieves work out how they will escape with their loot.
