What is the TV show Top Gear about?

Top Gear originally started in 1977 as a simple magazine programme featuring a long list of presenters, a number of which went on to present the Channel 5 TV show 'Fifth Gear'. In 2002 Top Gear underwent a revamp in order to be located in a studio whilst concentrating more on the program's eccentric humour and the personalities of presenters James May, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond. A key feature of the show is the unique tests they carry out on vehicles, such as the notorious Toyota Hilux episode. Tests ranged from crashing the car into a tree to repeatedly hitting it with a wrecking ball. Top Gear is a must see for any true motoring enthusiast.
